Gravity Rooftop Bar

Perched on the 24th floor of G Hotel Kelawai, Gravity is Penang's most polished nightlife rooftop — a plush indoor lounge that opens onto an alfresco sky bar with a resort-style infinity pool as its centrepiece. The panorama takes in George Town's rooftops, the surrounding hills, and the Penang Bridge stretching out toward the mainland, making it one of the best sunset perches on the island.

The drinks list runs to a full range of spirits, wine and cocktails, paired with a bar-bites menu of burgers, dumplings and charcuterie built for sharing. DJs take over as the evening goes on, giving Gravity a livelier, more club-adjacent energy than most of Penang's other rooftop venues — expect a well-dressed, mixed crowd of locals, expats and hotel guests.

Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends when the DJ sets draw a crowd. The rooftop pool itself is reserved for hotel guests, but the bar and lounge are open to everyone daily.
